Our Secret sauce

Forage

Finished

We know the best beef flavor comes from a diverse, carefully balanced diet. Our cattle are grown and developed on mixed irrigated pastures containing more than 20 plant varieties, including oats, barley, perennial and annual grasses, clovers, alfalfa, brassicas, sunflowers, and sorghum; just to name a few. We complement that forage with a custom grain blend during the finishing phase (last 120 days) made from more than 15 ingredients, including corn, flaxseed, sunflower seed, oats, barley, sugar beets, rice, and cottonseed, creating rich flavor and high-quality beef.

Common Questions About Buying In Bulk

Thinking about a quarter, half, or whole beef? Here are quick answers to help you choose the right size, plan your freezer space, and understand how ordering works.

What size options can I order?

You can reserve a quarter, half, or whole beef. Many families start with a quarter to get a mix of steaks, roasts, and ground beef without overfilling their freezer.

How much freezer space will I need?

As a rule of thumb, plan for about 4–5 cubic feet of freezer space for a quarter, 8–10 cubic feet for a half, and 16–20 cubic feet for a whole beef.

What cuts are included in my order?

Each order includes a variety of steaks, roasts, and ground beef. If you order half or more, your beef will be processed to your specifications. Quarter beef orders are processed based on a standard processing. We make sure to visit with every customer to make sure you're getting the cuts that you will use.

How does pricing and the deposit work?

Bulk beef is priced by the hanging weight. A non-refundable deposit reserves your animal, and the remaining balance is due when your beef is processed and ready.

Why is the price based on the hanging weight?

This is by far our most asked question. Because how your beef is processed can be drastically different, it's impossible to price bulk beef based on the ending packaged weight. The fairest way is to base it on the rail weight, which is measured once the beef is ready to go into the cooler to dry age for 14+ days prior to packaging. Depending on how your meat is cut (bone in vs bone out, amount of hamburger, ect), you will receive about 60% of the hanging weight in packaged, ready to enjoy beef.

How do pickup and delivery work?

We offer free delivery within 150 miles of the ranch. We want to make sure you meat arrives at your home frozen and ready to go into your freezer,
